How it gets its name

A real island. A real homestead.

This is not a conventional resort built around constant entertainment. It is a living island homestead built around the conditions that help people slow down, recover and reconnect.

The retreat is reached by boat in less than an hour from the mainland. Goats and chickens are part of daily farm life. Organic vegetables are grown near the kitchen. Tilapia is raised as part of the island’s food system. Nature is not decoration here—it is the setting.

The experience

Designed to feel good every day.

The goal is consistency rather than stimulation: good food, good water, clean air, movement, recovery, quiet and a natural setting.

NATURE

Island calm

Open water, mature trees, fresh air and less noise create a naturally slower pace.

NOURISHMENT

Farm-to-table living

Organic vegetables, eggs, fresh produce and tilapia form the basis of simple, clean meals.

RECOVERY

Restorative rhythm

Movement, water, recovery, sunshine, quiet time and sleep are part of the experience.

Simple island pleasures

Just enough to do.

Activities are intentionally few. The environment itself is the experience.

Treetop treehouse & lounging nets

Climb into the canopy, stretch out in suspended nets and spend time above the landscape.

Hammocks & quiet spaces

Read, nap, think, breathe or simply do nothing at all.

Plunge pool & ice bath

Cool-water recovery and contrast bathing for guests who enjoy invigorating wellness rituals.

Jacuzzi & evening recovery

Warm-water relaxation at the end of a quiet island day.

“The luxury is not having more to do. The luxury is having the right environment to feel well.”

A view from the beach

The Island Vibe

Shalom — what the island is all about

Shalom is often translated as “peace,” but its meaning is broader: wholeness, wellbeing, harmony and completeness. That captures the spirit we want throughout Island Homestead Retreat—a place where nature, nourishing food, movement, quiet, community and holistic care work together. It is not about filling every hour. It is about creating the conditions to rest, renew and restore.

Our philosophy

More than a getaway.

Absolute Nature • Healing Environment • Clean Living

The retreat is built around a simple idea: when the environment is consistently supportive—air, water, food, rest, movement and care—the body and mind have more space to recover and function well.
